I
love landscape photography and am happiest out shooting New Zealand's awesome
and diverse scenery. I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures, but until a couple of
years ago it was always in auto mode. In 2015 I purchased a mirrorless camera
and I committed to learning how to use it properly, with the goal of capturing
images like the ones I have always admired from other photographers. It quickly
became a passion and over the last two years I have fallen in love with the art
of photography.
I
love mountains, lakes, the coast and New Zealand's bush, and I have a bit of a
penchant for reflection shots. I enjoy creating images from my interpretation
of what I see in front of me. In particular I enjoy the long exposure genre,
and am also not afraid to shoot in the middle of the day, as well as at dawn
and dusk.
I
shoot mostly with my Olympus OM-D mirrorless cameras, a variety of M.Zuiko Pro
lenses and NiSi neutral density filters for long exposures. I do my post
processing in Lightroom, using a colour accurate monitor.
Outside
of photography, I'm a mum to two young boys (Jackson and Ollie), am married to
Matt (who loves the outdoors as much as me!), and work part time. I create
images when I can find the time to get out and about on adventures, between
Matt and I our diary can be totally crazy. This blog will cover my various
adventures and thoughts on photography.
